Why is it when people get married, they promise to love each other forever and then they end up in a bitter divorce battle within a few years hating each other.

What kind of love is that?

So true... my first marriage lasted 21 yr. The second 10 yr. I am now in a 11 yr marriage that will endure forever and my last. I respect people like you Princess with one long lasting marriage. Sunday in church we honored two coupes... one has been married 52 yr and the other 68.
