I've enjoyed reading here but I've been hesitant to post. I'm afraid I don't have the same kind of childhood memories you've all had. No farm work, no homemade biscuits on the table, no tire swings, no camping or fishing, and no delectable homegrown maters. I grew up on concrete and water. Spent a brief stint in rice paddies and a while in coconuts and pineapples. It was a different life but one I loved and all I knew. We did spend vacations at my grandparents in KY when we could, but not on a farm. The greatest thing in the world was knowing Santa could land his sleigh on an aircraft carrier and we could eat pressed turkey and Neapolitan ice cream squares. I grew up eating $hit on a shingle and loved it. I went to more schools than I can remember and didn't actually have a "best" friend until I was in my teens primarily because we weren't in any place long enough to actually have best friends.

However, I'm not a stranger to tobacco, cows, horses, chickens, pigs, hay, corn, and hard work. I married it.
