I won’t argue about it, however, I do know my own area and other places I’ve visited throughout the state and know how many roads and bridges are suffering from negligence on the part of the state of WV. So there is no doubt in my mind that our state is also at fault because had it been inspected there wouldn’t have been any lawsuit settlements whatsoever. You know as I do that if it would’ve been inspected regularly, and if anything found faulty, they would have closed it for repairs or simply built a new bridge.

The state always claims to never have adequate funding for anything, yet when the big corporations come looking for handouts the state is right there giving them whatever they want to include roads, bridges to paying no taxes. I know what they do cause I live there too. lol

Me and you are basically in agreement with most everything and todays politicians in WV suck and will continue to suck as long as mine companies controls the minds of the people here and that is what is happening. This state is now like the largest trailer park in the country and it embarassses me but I will not move elsewhere, I never changed, the state as a whole did...

I will talk about the silver bridge another day

Totally agree with this that big oil, gas, coal and other big companies virtually control all of the state and we no longer have a say in anything because many have been swindled into believing corporate slogans of utter bullsh!t.

It felt good seeing our candidates down in hostile South Carolina getting plenty of welcome down there and such a crowd there. I want these candidates to come into West Virginia no matter the odds are against them in the general here, they will get bigger crowds than Trump had during his visits, one of his trips in Charleston did not sell out the place and there were jeers in the crowd, he was bragging about the crowd and the camera panning the arena showed a less enthused crowd, he was there endorsing his bytch for US Senate, thank goodness he lost...

Ohio's Silver Bridge Memorial

Ohio's memorial to the Silver Bridge disaster is more educational than the plaque in West Virginia. The Ohio memorial has a plaque explaining what happened on December 15, 1967, the names of the 46 people who lost their lives, and an eye-bar. This was similar to the piece that failed causing the bridge to collapse into the Ohio River.  Located at the rest area in Kanauga Ohio

Kanauga was the West end of the bridge, I visited that side as well as the Point Pleasant end same trip...

Good win for the Mounties, beat James Madison, the #2 ranked team in FCS while WVU is rebuilding. I felt WVU would win, no matter how ugly it got at times, they were in charge in the 4 th quarter when it mattered. They did not play XII style ball, played a much slower tempo and showed nothing to any of the other opponents on their schedule except what was needed to win this game...

James Madison is loaded with transfers from the likes of LSU, Penn State, Va Tech, Maryland, Ohio State etc playing for them, they are good and will probably win the rest of their games in FCS (formerly 1-AA, I liked that better than FCS or FBS)..

Next on the schedule is Missouri, on the road. Mizzou will be favored

Anyways, hearing Country Roads is great. :)
