My first car was a '78 Mustang. The I started collecting Trans Ams. I've had about a dozen or so over the years. The one I have now I've owned for 12 years. I finished restoring it 9 years ago.
Interesting. But how long did it take for the restoration?
About 3 years.
I had one of these...it was in pretty bda shape when I got it. Lots of rust.
You do excellent work! 🙂
I never finished that one. It needed floor pans, and I wasn't up to the challenge. My first T/A was like this one. A previous owner yanked the stock 400 and put in an Old 455 Rocket motor...lucky me!
I think my favorite was an '83 SE...you could get everything the Trans Am had on it, plus about a half dozen options that you couldn't even get on the T/A...mine had every option. It was red like this one:
This is what I would like to have..a 1974 SD 455 T/A. The T-tops are not original, as they didn't offer them until '76.
