It snowed some here also.
Brings out the survivor in us... And high cost energy bills, frozen water pipes... But that as well is in the survival handbook...

Not easy to predict, one year in the 1990s it only snowed once, around the last day of Winter and was a huge blizzard. Missed 3 days of work, not a good time…

You never know.. it's all about the not so impossible.. it could happen.. I wouldn't want anyone not prepared for it to face it so I'll take it in my corner of the top of the mountain.. Here you gotta be like the  Ant..

Some places are better equipped to handle snow than others.

Well, I'd hope the river freezes and snow piles up damn near over the trees or the smaller brush then a little ice rain on top of that.. then freeze.. I could play on that for a day or so then hopefully it would melt.. I did say I'd just like one hour, a few minutes riding a special equipped lawnmower or whatever else I can get my hands on.. maybe a sidekick

I was in NC at the time, not too far where Waco is. It was very widespread over a dozen states. We got a foot and a half. NC is very poor  at clearing roads after snow storms, even in their mountainous parts. They let it melt before sending dozers out to clear roads…

The non mountainous areas are worse, even the so called “foothills” which is what our region in NC was called.. was over 1,000 feet above sea level..

The odds of a huge blizzard occurring at that location I mentioned is about 15%, much higher just 50 miles North, where the ski resorts and such are located and such. It is all about economics, don’t need really heavy equipment in areas that rarely happens, just the minimum needed. Had not been down there in Winter time the last 20 years dunno how many hit there since. When I lived there it only snowed 5 times in a 10 year period with only the blizzard that stuck out…

Hopefully they learned lessons there and fixed certain points of that economics.. I bet they have here it being 2025..We don't get much snow here either.. mostly mild winters.. these long cold stretches up the margin of a huge snow.. chance still low tho..
