I did once, when I was in middle school.  Tell me more about your monkey story.
Hopefully, her writing has better spelling in it. If she sends her stuff to be published and her letter is like some of her spelling to a publisher, she will get the reject pile and quickly!

Rain here but 30 minutes away, they got snow. Mother Nature is being her usual bipolar psychotic self. Hahaha

I almost said "raining here too" but now there's some sort of horrible ice pellets falling from the sky.

Some pretty famous authors were rumored to be REALLY bad spellers.

The property that I am currently working on sits in the middle of 240,000 acres of national forest.  We have to have firewood delivered from 2 hours away.  Makes sense, right?

I would think when sending a letter asking to be published, an introduction letter, you would spell correctly to make oneself look professional.  A lot of writers have a person who proofreads their stuff to catch that.

Ours sounded like ice but it was rain. My dogs were like nope, not going outside today! Hahaha

I think they call them editors.  You should volunteer to help Jackie (and the little children) out...might even solve her more money problem.

Winter storm warning? Ok. That's good enough for me. I'm not going to work. The responsible thing to do would be to stay home, smoke pot and not shovel snow. Sounds like a plan. I'll make coffee.

Post pandemic life is a let down. I prefer that scene where there was no traffic, no work, the government made direct deposits into my bank account every two weeks and we spent the whole day buying **** on Amazon and trading stock. That was much funner than toil and poverty. Our current system makes it nearly impossible to achieve self-actualization. It's mostly dehumanizing.

The standard work week should be (4) 5 hour days.  Why do we need more than that?  What is there to do that can't be done more slowly? We've been convinced we need too much. When I was younger I thought working as much as I could was a virtue. Now I realize that is a lie that causes one to waste their lives. Even if you make a lot of money, what good is it if you spend most of your waking hours at a job?  A human lifetime is way too short to waste any of its days time buying into the prevailing herd mentality.  I don't want to work as much as I can; I want to work as little as possible.
It's not that I'm lazy. It's just that there are better things to do.

Fear is unfortunately a powerful motivator. I remember two of my kids coming home and telling me that friends had told them that because they didn't go to church and believe in God that they were going to he!!. They were all baptized....in my late 30's I stopped taking them. Their Dad was Catholic and never went to church. What a memory.
A certain preacher from a certain religion said I was going to hell. I wasn't the only one he chose for that distinction however.

My son came home one Sunday telling me the pastor said he and his sister were going to hell. Only because their father and I didn't attend. That was their last day at that church and by the time i was done with the pastor he probably thought he had visited hell.

In Michigan we make reference to "up north". We all know what that means.  That means a weekend destination in the northern Lower Peninsula in the woods or on some lake.  Then there's the UP, which is entirely different. The UP has  completely different geological features. It's rocky and densely forested. The daunting thing about going to the UP is not that it is mostly wilderness. It's that it takes forever to drive there. Getting to the bridge is only halfway. Copper Harbor Michigan is a longer drive for me than Nashville Tennessee.
Unfortunately rich people have trashed the small towns in the upper Lower. They're all the same now. Over-priced condos, too many golf courses, nautically themed restaurants and gift shops... It's enough to make you puke.  Northern Michigan has become popular with rich people from Chicago which are far worse than rich people from Michigan, but not nearly as bad as people from New York or California.  They turn every town with a coastline into something that closely resembles the town they are trying to escape. There should be zoning laws that keep our coastline clear of trash.
