Don’t you think Ryan should have said something while in charge? It would have made bigger difference than some book he rights after the fact.
Why couldn’t he make a difference by standing up to Trumpet?
True, he was nearly bulletproof in his role due to the manner in which he became SOH and it's safe to say that some R house members would have sided with him over Trump on certain issues.
His only worry was a primary challenge which he likely would have won. So, the author was correct in stating that Ryan wanted to escape from Trump.
