In 1998, a twenty year old man named Benjamin Gonzalez-Reyes was brought to the Earl Cardot Eastside Trails in Arkwright, NY and was
murdered in those hiking trails,
execution style.
His killer/killers was never caught.
No arrests. No suspects.
27 years of silence.
We must hold those in power accountable. We must demand progress.
We must ask: Why hasn’t every available tool including forensic genealogy been aggressively used sooner?
Now, we live in a time where DNA technology can do what was once impossible. Forensic genetic genealogy has helped solve thousands of cold cases even cases older than Benjamin’s by using even the smallest bits of DNA to identify killers.
We the community can speed up this process by coming forward and speaking up about who this killer/killers are.
It's not fair that this murderer/murderers are walking and living their lives as if nothing happened.
