If I could tell my younger self something I would tell her...don't get married.

Then get divorced, spend some time alone and work on yourself and your feelings about it before you date again, and then don't get married again if you don't want to. 

Neither my gf nor I are terribly interested in getting married again.

Marriage doesn't mean what it used to, to a lot of people, and even in the past there were plenty of bad/failed marriages and cheaters.  People just stayed in these bad marriages more often than they do today.
