Its always interesting to make your own costumes. A hobo is easy or a ghost. Or you can get more creative and invent your own character.
A pumpkin head can be interesting. Can use a big box and paint it up like a pumpkin. Have your arms and legs sticking out. The stem top can be worn on top of your head like a hat.
The costume part I could probably do .. I could be any of those.. Beetlejuice, Fire Marshal Bill be a gooduN.. You can get creative with music also, themed orchestrated music.. That would be another correct, I’d definitely create my own character or two..
