"LONDON — The British government said Monday it will block a new law that makes it easier for people in Scotland to legally change their gender, sparking conflict with transgender rights advocates and the nationalist Scottish administration in Edinburgh...."
People should be free to wear dresses, have surgery (if they are of age) call themselves whatever they like. But I do not think it is fair or appropriate to expect society at large to accommodate that and be denounced as bigots if we don't.
It just confuses things of a ministerial or legal nature and places an unfair burden on small businesses that have to navigate the bathroom weirdness. This whole culture of everyone demanding special rights is emblematic of extreme selfishness.
