He is intentionally denying assistance and equipment to states with democrat governors or whose leadership has not stroked his massive corrupt ego...And he brags about that on television... It is beyond comprehension that this country has a president that behaves like the generalissimo of some tenth-rate banana republic or African warlord.  It's surreal.

It is criminal.  And should be charged as such.

Non-essential workers caught out in Michigan are now subject to 1000 dollar fines.  There are more than 11,000 confirmed corona cases. I have a letter that I carry in my car that allows me free passage. But there is talk of a curfew and National Guard. I have only seen curfews and soldiers in the streets in Michigan once during my lifetime and it was so long ago and I was so little that I barely remember it. But I do remember...
But really, the unruly mob in places like Detroit must be forced to abide to the common good. And compulsory gun seizures would probably go a long way toward maintaining order during these uncertain times.

Everyone should stay home as much as possible.  BUT, you are under no legal obligation to answer any questions particularly ones about what you are doing.   Now, as they say you can't beat the ride but you might end up with a nice pile of cash if they illegally violate you.

It is telling that the weirdo ultra-right tries to taint all of their specious agendas with a quasi religious-faux-patriotic support-the-troops god-n-guns flavor. So that if you disagree with any of their wildly irrational views, you are accused of hating America, Jesus and 'the troops'. And by disagreeing with their "wildly irrational views", I mean if you recognize the reality of climate change, acknowledge that gun violence is out of control,  you think that access to affordable health care and education should be a basic right and not an extreme luxury.... that kind of thing.

As the fellow about to have his neck stretched in the movie said, "First time?"   Righties have been doing that for many decades now.

Gretchen Whitmer was being interviewed and she said that Trump's decision to provide ventilators and other equipment to states that were stroking him but not in need and denying them to states with democrat governors that did need them...specifically Michigan and New York, it forced those states to seek to buy ventilators and other supplies on the open market and thereby be bidding against each other for the same limited supply, and greatly increased the cost and reduced availability of those essential items..... For no other reason except his childish pettiness...the president of the US... behaving like one of Saddam Hussein's sons.  And him or his family probably profited somehow from those transactions.

There needs to be very severe consequences for his actions.

There was a possibility from the very beginning that the Coronavirus could mutate into a deadlier form.
It wouldn't surprise me on that and I bet it takes 12 to 18 months before a vaccine is found.
