Yes i realize that, but the wage must fit the times, Alot of states are still at 7,50 hr.

BTW I never told u my age, as its irrelivant. You need to be careful about some of these conspiracy theories, as most are debunked.

You posted your age, n your response to another poster, I simply read it. Please, show me the debunked ones?

If I posted my age somewhere around here, it is young compared to say 3oo years old. Someday I predict this will be a reality where people will even live much longer as medical sciences prosgresses.

I'll come back to this later about debunked conspiracies later.  That's a wide subject I don't want to get into at the moment.

Have a good day.

I didn't want to get into detail about it, but dyeas some states do pay more. It ranges anywhere from 5.00 to 9,00 to 10,00

Only a couple states give 15.00 per hour just recently. The minimum wage has been at a stand still since the early 90's, not many increases in over 30 years.

Just thought I'd post this link of worldwide protests from 2018, there are a few more today in 2019 added to the list.

https://www.globalcitizen.org/en/content/8-protests-changing-the-world-now/

I didn't even know this was all going on, been real busy to peek in on the news, plus I don't watch the news too often, only once in a blue moon.

I've learned in College in Art History, things go in cycles. My professors said we are at the end of the Decay Period and entering the Renaissance Period now - Renaissance means Rebirth of a new nation. So we are lucky to live in the Renaissance times - Rebirth period of our times is now here. The future looks bright.

Peace

Just want to add, the USA offers help, but this help comes out of the workers backs, the taxpayers, they cannot be burdened with this anymore.

The Big Corporations need to step up to the plate, and start paying fair wages.

Yep, my son works at a restaurant and he gets paid 7.50 an hour but he can only work up to 30 hours a week because he is still in high school.  He can get tips if the servers want to split them but we have told him that the servers may need them more than he does.

See Jackie, even a blind squirrel finds a nut occasionally!

In the above example, this minor child is still a "dependent" on his father's tax return. He is being paid $0 .25 above Federally established minimum wage.  Any state, can provide a higher minimum wage but cannot pay any given employee less-than $7.25 per hour. Please note: when I first punched a clock, the Federal minimum wage was $1.80 per hour! So do the math, $1.80 in 1972 to $7.25 in 2019, what 8s the increase and how does that flow, against cost of living index?  Note to, tipped employees, wage per hour is substantially less, than $7.25 per hour, $2. and change.

The basic supply/demand rule, holds true here. If unemployment continues it downward trend and it will, thanks to Trump. Wage and hour employers will began competing for employees. Employers will be forced to offer employees, more money per hour, incentive packages, vacation time, flexible work hours etc... to lure desirable people! It's a win, win situation! Additionally, when unemployment reaches about 3 to 4%, its bottomed out. In other words that pecentage of the available workforce, will never get a job!

Artificially setting the minimum wage, say to $15.00 per hour, has disastrous effects for both the employee and employer. Generally speaking, people will not pay $10.00 for a BigMack, demand drops and said business closes. The supply/demand rule is the heart of free-enterprise, it cannot be ignored. Remember this old adage: Appeal to the masses and eat with the classes!

Ps. If she were smart, she would tell her son to clean the server's tables first, who tip him!  Suppy/demand...

He can't clean the server's table first as he gets paid an hour and they don't so he doesn't care about tips being split to him. He cleans the tables he is told or assigned and there are no server's tables is this or that. You really do show your stupidity.  By the way, even though he is claimed on our taxes not just my husband's  but ours as we do have joint tax statements he also does a tax return also.
You continue to show your ignorance as in 1972, federal minimum wage was $1.60.

You probably didn't work so you just assume that people don't know what to look for. You know what they say about assume, you make an ass out of yourself. But then you do that daily. Obviously,  you have **** poor math skills also because you claimed $1.80 an hour when it was a 1.60, would be a .20 cent raise not .10 cent. Maybe you need to go back to school and learn math.

Boy brings back memories, back in 1985, minimum wage was 3:35. I used to be a salad prep with no tips, and smelled like a salad when I came home. He sounds very consciensious.

I don't have to peddle and doubt you ever worked. You probably wouldn't know what real hard work.
