"It's really cold outside, they are calling it a major freeze, weeks ahead of normal. Man, we could use a big fat dose of global warming!"

But the frozen wind turbines were not the cause of the catastrophe. That is another myth promulgated by the guns & god crowd that think green energy and climate change are a hoax.
Green energy is making Texas a lot of money. And changing how energy is produced. Not  everyone who is pro gun and goes to church hates green energy ,In fact many of them now work in the green energy sector.  Texas manufactures more wind turbines than any other state, and uses more of them as well. Soon the deserts of West Texas will bloom with solar panels. Not to mention that the world's first spaceport will likely be in South Texas. Texans are at the forefront of green energy.
Just the tip of the iceberg.

While the Democrats are puttering around renaming schools after Mao Tse  Tung ,maybe they'll work on passing that stimulus bill.

That's because the people in charge of the state are money grubbing soulless slime. I love the state, and it's crazy diversity. That's why I'm comfortable around people who don't speak English, and I don't think every Black person I see is going to stab me. Living among other cultures is a blast. Some streets have signs in Houston in three different Asian languages! Awesome! 😀

Texas gets 28% of its energy from green energy. More than any other state. Texas should be commended, not bitterly attacked because it's embracing green energy.
I think it's important to understand what's been going on with the Texas energy grid.

Of the 28%, 23% is wind. That's also the calculated maximum capacity and only reached a few days a year. Average annual contribution is minimal. Additionally, the US grid is built and maintained at 120+% of maximum demand. Transmission is capable coast to coast, if nessessary.

Frozen windmills or snow covered solar panels had nothing to do with it, all fake news!

I'm aware that green energy failures didn't cause most of the energy problems in Texas. I'm also aware that as technology improves over the next five years, green energy will provide an ever increasing amount of clean energy  to Texans.
Ten years ago they said electric cars could never exceed fifty miles before their battery went dead.
Technology marched on anyway, and 250 miles and more is already here. Technology is becoming more efficient almost geometrically. Super computers in ten years will make today's most impressive super computers look like toys.
