"...GOP lawmakers -- including an Oath Keeper and 'Stop the Steal' attendee -- call for 'decertification' of Trump's election loss

Nearly 200 Republican lawmakers from 39 states -- including one who was present at the U.S. Capitol riot and another who's a member of the Oath Keepers -- have signed a letter endorsing false election fraud claims and calling for the reinstatement of Donald Trump.

The letter, which was signed by 186 GOP lawmakers, pushed for all 50 states to conduct a "forensic audit" like one Arizona recently attempted to uncover evidence of alleged fraud that could be used to remove President Joe Biden from office, according to a copy of the document shared by right-wing Arizona legislator Wendy Rogers...."
I'm sure many are sick of Biden by now. But the election can't and won't be  decertified.

They have done studies where people try to live in a tribal society and not eat meat.  It doesn't work.  Everyone starves.  Being vegan or vegetarian is a yuppie luxury only possible by modern convenience.

I saw a video the other day where they asked this African from a tribal society what is most important to him, and he said meat.
And yet the Aztecs flourished as a civilization for over 200 years with very little or no meat. The Mayans didn't eat much meat either choosing instead tree cropping and other farming methods for their main sources of proteins. The Mayan culture existed for around 3000 years.

But you don't know you blood type?

Happy Thanksgiving, Sublime! I have 2 dogs and a cat in bed with me. My kids are all coming over in 2 1/2 hours for Brunch. We're having Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow - they're at their Dad's for dinner tonight.

😊

I've never needed to know it.  I've only broken a bone once and it was a doozy ... I broke my two lower most vertebrae jumping my old Polaris 700 too high ... I landed it fine (sled was buried in snow but I landed it fine, lol) but heard a crack.  Then I dug my sled out from the snow and heaved and pulled on it .... for like 10 minutes ... went to my buddy's house ... had a few beers and they were gonna go back out ridding but I said I think I should go home ... so I rode about 30 min home ... asked my ex-harpy to help me take off my snow suit cause I couldn't really bend over ... then she made me go to the hospital and they did x-rays and broken back.   I bowled in my league 2 weeks later. 😀

Happy thanksgiving to you and you all!  😀

For thousands of years, meat was a seldom experienced luxury. Today we have chosen to make meat at our house a luxury, once again.
   We feel better.

But they ate meat.

The Mayans and Aztecs also weren't tribal societies.  The Mayans had city states and the Aztecs were an empire.  In addition to internal strife they believe droughts also contributed to the Mayan collapse.  Rain and weather are not always reliable.

I glanced over some media news sites. Some stories ignored, some exaggerated and some spun into the finest of lies.
You get to choose your "truth."
   Isn't that nice.

Our ancestors ate bugs, anything that moved! I just wonder when someone decided to put meat over fire? Raw poultry  has salmonella.

I took the dogs on a mile walk.  Not that far, but Maggie is 14 1/2. Waiting for the 5 hour energy to kick in.

I'm just surprised that you are not curious. You've obviously never given blood, which isn't a big deal. I used to when I was younger.

Oysters are the one I wonder about.  I love them but can you imagine being a "cave person" seeing one for the first time and putting it in your mouth?

Do de do, just a nice walk on the beach, let's break a rock, ooo the rock has snot in it, lets eat it!

t has been hypothesized that the Neolithic transition towards an agricultural and pastoralist economy facilitated the emergence of human-adapted pathogens. Here, we recovered eight Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica genomes from human skeletons of transitional foragers, pastoralists and agropastoralists in western Eurasia that were up to 6,500 yr old. Despite the high genetic diversity of S. enterica, all ancient bacterial genomes clustered in a single previously uncharacterized branch that contains S. enterica adapted to multiple mammalian species. All ancient bacterial genomes from prehistoric (agro-)pastoralists fall within a part of this branch that also includes the human-specific S. enterica Paratyphi C, illustrating the evolution of a human pathogen over a period of 5,000 yr. Bacterial genomic comparisons suggest that the earlier ancient strains were not host specific, differed in pathogenic potential and experienced convergent pseudogenization that accompanied their downstream host adaptation. These observations support the concept that the emergence of human-adapted S. enterica is linked to human cultural transformations.

Oh the humanity!!

"...$400K worth of Jack Daniel’s flooded a Tennessee highway
A semi truck dumped the liquor after overturning on the interstate.

The American people have barely recovered from the Leinenkugel beer spill that struck Interstate 94 last month. Now, just in time for the holidays, we’ve got another highway coated in booze: last Wednesday, a semi transporting $400,000 worth of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey overturned as the driver entered a Tennessee interstate.

The Murfreesboro Police Department shared the news in a Facebook post. Per the post, the load of whiskey was picked up in Lynchburg, Tennessee, and was heading to Nashville for shipping. The truck overturned as the driver turned onto the interstate; however, the whiskey didn’t actually start leaking until the trailer was being pulled upright by a wrecker. At that point, the truck sprang a leak. (It appears that the product hadn’t yet been packaged in bottles; it was being shipped in liquid bulk, which likely led to the catastrophic nature of the spill.)..."
