Advise everyone,do not get overconfident about this Covid. It's rampant even where vaccination rates are high. Wear a good quality mask, and avoid large social gatherings. And wash your hands.
We are in for a long haul here.

I told you it's not going away.  I'm also not wearing a mask for the next 50 years.

A group of doctors who attended an “anti-vaccine” summit in Florida tested positive for COVID-19 or experienced symptoms days after the event, according to a report.

The Daily Beast reports the doctors fell ill after participating in the event earlier this month at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Fla., where alternative treatments for COVID-19 were discussed. “The Day the Earth Listened” event occurred on Nov. 6.

The event’s organizer, John Littell, told The Daily Beast seven doctors among the 800 to 900 participants tested positive for the coronavirus or developed symptoms within days of the conference.

Littell told the news outlet he didn’t consider the conference to be a superspreader event and said he believed those infected contracted the virus from their home states before arriving at the event.

Among the doctors who contracted the virus was Bruce Boros, a 71-year-old cardiologist who advocated for the use of ivermectin as an effective treatment against COVID-19 during the event.

“I have been on ivermectin for 16 months, my wife and I,” Boros said at the event, according to The Daily Beast. “I have never felt healthier in my life.”

The outlet reports he fell ill with COVID-19 two days later.

T is on a week long cruise with his sister in the Virgin Islands. I was supposed to go but started a new job a month ago, same place and if I had gone I would have had to quarantine for an extra week, meaning I would have to take two full weeks off. I just can't do that with finals and Commencement coming up, plus I think it's plain stupid to go on a cruise right now with CoVid. T has been sick with a fever and blood oxygen at 82% as of yesterday. They tested him for CoVid and he'll know the results this morning - if he has it he'll have to quarantine and won't be able to fly back on Sunday. My biggest fear come true - kind of like how this whole nightmare started - the cruise ship! Although, CoVid was here already. Ugh...

Wow!

Long term picture ... wearing a mask for the next 50 years is not viable for most people.  We will have to live with it like we do with any other number of viruses.  Demonizing people who accept this isn't the answer either.  Go mask up until the end of time if you want to. I'm not.

I don't even know my blood type.

Wait - you know all of your heritage stuff and you don't know your blood type? Didn't you check your blood type in High School biology? I remember we did blood type and the Rh type. I guess Rh negative is relatively rare - when mine didn't show positive I thought I messed up the lab. Everyone in the class was positive. It wasn't until I had my first child that I found out I was negative. If a Rh negative mother has an Rh positive child her blood will create antibodies and every subsequent Rh positive child  will be miscarried unless you get a Rhogam shot when each baby is born to protect the next pregnancy. All four of my kids are A+.

Also humans are not made to be vegetarian or vegan.  It's only possible because of modern conveniences.  You would never be able to survive on your own or in a tribe being a vegan or vegetarian.  It's not possible .  You burn too many calories collecting food and harvesting food ... more than you get from the food itself.
The diet of Aztecs was mostly vegetarian. Although it has been known that Aztecs consumed a considerable amount of acocils, a kind of small shrimp, other animals they consumed, including various kinds of fowls, gophers, and green iguanas, were only a minor contribution to their diet.

They have done studies where people try to live in a tribal society and not eat meat.  It doesn't work.  Everyone starves.  Being vegan or vegetarian is a yuppie luxury only possible by modern convenience.

I saw a video the other day where they asked this African from a tribal society what is most important to him, and he said meat.

Organ damage occurs around 82%. Those who have 82% blood oxygen levels are urged to immediately be hospitalized.

I was admitted into the hospital with chemically indexed pneumonia and I was at 75%. We were having the whole inside of our house repainted - 3 floors (except the bedrooms. It was from water damage from a burst pipe in the dining room. I was there all day with the painters day in and day out. Pneumonia from paint fumes.

I'm not a vegan. I've simply cut way back on meat. I regularly eat cheese and eggs.
But the hormones and other additives they put in meat in America is not a good thing.
Plus the cost of meat is becoming prohibitive.

Fruit, veggies, nuts and grains? You get protein from nuts and combining foods to create proteins. It's a conscious decision to not eat meat so an animal is not killed on my behalf for my diet. I don't kill insects either. You seem to have a problem with anyone that doesn't think the same or look the same as you - tolerance would be a good thing for you  to focus on today.

There are also biological differences between animals who are carnivores and those who are vegetarian ... even things like the amount of stomach acid produced.  These are universal laws that are applicable to all animals.  Humans have all the biological hallmarks of an apex predator.

Foreign substances, even water in your lungs can cause pneumonia. I've had both flu and pneumonia,to the point of death.
But not getting enough oxygen when you breathe is a horrible feeling.
My sister died the day after Christmas in 2019.
  Oxygen level was 80%.
 Multiple organ failure.

Tribal societies, in which humans lived in since before recorded history cannot sustain themselves on such things.  Perhaps with modern farming it is possible, but even with basic farming it wasn't.  People farmed for thousands of years and famines were a regular occurrence in Europe even into the 1800s.  The bicycle was invented because the year without a summer due to a volcano eruption and people couldn't feed horses to ride and some were also eaten for food.  The first bicycle is like Fred Flintstone.  I give a presentation where I use bicycle patents and I show the technological progress and teach about infringement and acquiring patents.  I use them as examples.  I show the first bicycle patent and then the next one a few years later and we first analyze it from the perspective of acquiring a patent ... can this second guy get a patent and if so, what for. We do that for a few iterations than we start all over and we look at it from an infringement perspective ... even if the second or 3rd or 4th guy can get a patent will his device still infringe upon a patent for the earlier bicycle.  It's a really good presentation.

"...GOP lawmakers -- including an Oath Keeper and 'Stop the Steal' attendee -- call for 'decertification' of Trump's election loss

Nearly 200 Republican lawmakers from 39 states -- including one who was present at the U.S. Capitol riot and another who's a member of the Oath Keepers -- have signed a letter endorsing false election fraud claims and calling for the reinstatement of Donald Trump.

The letter, which was signed by 186 GOP lawmakers, pushed for all 50 states to conduct a "forensic audit" like one Arizona recently attempted to uncover evidence of alleged fraud that could be used to remove President Joe Biden from office, according to a copy of the document shared by right-wing Arizona legislator Wendy Rogers...."
