Well, what if you don't care for the candidates in your party? I would think a person can vote for who they want, no matter what party they are registered in. Doesn't sound Kosher to me.

The primary is an election within the party choosing the party's candidate. You can vote for whoever you want in the general election.

The primary election is the parties electing their respective candidates.
Sort of__those who aren't registered D's or R's (here) sit out the primaries in all but a couple of instances and the primaries are where the action is.

In FLA we had to choose between two sub par candidates for Governor because the primaries drew from far left and far right.  If the so called independents had been able to vote that race would have been between Adam Putnam and Gwen Graham. Putnam, a true leader with experience to spare would be our governor. Instead, the right delivered us a little round bottomed, lying azz Freedom Caucus Trump neophyte.

BTW, I thought you were registered as a Republican. Couldn't you have voted for Putnam in the primary?

I did, wife who registers D voted for Graham.

Far right and far left turned out in FL the middle stayed home and we wound up with two equally bad choices for the governors office.

Mitch and Bevin both need to go, maybe Trump can adopt them. I'm sure there's a bus somewhere he can throw them under

It is going to take a miracle to get rid of Mitch. Ed Whitfield was smart and got out.

What are they doing wrong? Just asking, I don't know.

Kentucky was my favorite duty station. A beautiful place.
KFC was a new thing back then.  :D

I too was at FT Knox, later traveled extensively throughout the state and.  think KY is beautiful.

Insofar as the politics there? LMAO!

I just googled "whats wrong with mitch mcconnell" and almost blew up the internet. Here's the most recent entry   https://www.nytimes.com/2019/06/13/opinion/mitch-mcconnell-russian-interference.html   there might be a paywall but don't worry there are pages of  plenty of good reading.

IMO, there's a pretty good case for Mitch to be charged with crimes for what he's done to the nations legislative flow.

Mitch has been around way too long. A good reason to have term limits on all politicians. He is crooked as hell.

Seeing as how Harlan Sanders started that in 1930 and the first franchise was in 1952 and in Salt Lake City, Utah, it makes someone very old if he ate at one in 1930. Sanders sold it to former Governor John Y. Brown in 1964  along with some other investors who really made it more popular .
Lol. Heck KFC is all over Asia, Europe and other countries. Kiev, Ukraine had 13 McDonald's at one time.
