Whatever...
Purple Lady posted We own several guns, been around guns all my life with family members who hunted. We made sure our kids took hunter safety classes. It isn't gun control that's the problem. It is that we have not done enough to check for mental illness before allowing guns to be bought and sold to people. People will continue to violate the laws of having a gun and owning them until something is done about that.
Hah! I grew up on a farm and was always around long guns shotguns and such. Actually belonged to a shooting club in high school. We took our guns to school and stored them in our lockers until after class where we would take a bus to a nearby range to practice. We were furnished ammo at the range and didn't have that in our lockers__mostly didn't anyway.
During that era, boys carried knives to school, girls had scissors, nail files and the like and weirdly everyone survived. Crazy eh?
Will add that we had some really fast cars back then, prior to seatbelts, disk brakes and so on.
Funerals were a regular occurrence. Muscle cars and Vietnam, can't believe I survived both.
