Mr. & Mrs. Cowface.........stories of days past by you seems to enjoy hearing of different dilemmas and predicaments we manage to get ourselves in, so i remembered this one i thought i would share with you.....

A few years back i went up for the wake of my uncle into the mountainous region and they had the corpse at their home and kept it their in lieu of the funeral home so family could be with the body something to do with evil spirits not able to overtake the soul or something, anyhow we were there several hours and decided to head out and as i was leaving i had noticed i had eaten most of the nuts sitting in the bowl on the table so i left and stopped by the nearest store and picked up some more nuts to replace the ones i had eaten, and when i returned my aunt opened the door and i handed her the can of nuts, and apologized for eating nearly all of their nuts, and she replied oh dear not to worry we only suck the chocolate off of them....

We sure miss our old local Chillicothe Ohio original Topix forum. There we could get all the latest local news and gossip and meet with friends. There we had many local friends with who we suddenly lost touch ever since. The end. This makes me sad. It was like we got kicked off the planet. I still grieve over this loss.

I remember Back when i was a young lad and we were fishing in a pound out in this field, and this bull was lying on the ground and my friends dared me to go over and smack the bull, and as i approached the bull, and slapped in on its rear-end, the bull jumped up, and i took off running as fast as i could in fear of my life.......as i approached the fence which separated us from the field i threw my fishing rod and gear over the fence and somehow jumped and cleared the fench......as i turned and looked back i then heard my friends laughing, and i saw that the bull had jumped up and took off the other direction....i felt like a jack-ass, but i was a happy jack-ass at that moment... just another small memory of my stupidity over the years...

I have told so many stories here in the past that I don't know what I have shared and have probably told them all. So I am scraping the bottom of the bucket. As a kid during the summer, I used to ride my bike around town and the countryside looking to pick up pop bottles. They were worth 5 cents apiece. I could always find 5 or six bottles throwed out on the side of the road.I turned the bottles in at our local grocery and cashed them in to buy a pop-cycle. I did this every day all summer for a number of years. Then I grew up and I have not had a pop-cycle in probably over 50 years.

Years Ago when i lived in Kettering Ohio, we lived at Chatham Village and when Halloween rolled around the kids all got to go trick or treating for candies, we the parents walk around with the kids and trick or treat for drinks, and made a real block party dressed like a bunch of drunken goons....Also we would take turns having cookouts on our personal grills on the our patios, and i remember after our turn was over we were ask over to a neighbors and when we got there he explained we were in for a real treat, something we had probably never thought of doing on the grill, or ever tried, and he called it Kentucky Round Steak..... He opened the grill to roll it over a bit, and low and behold it was a ten pound roll of bologna....I remember One Of Our Other Neighbors who also had come over, yelled at him saying you come over our house for grilled out steak and seafoods, and you think you're gonna stuff bologna down our throats....NOT HAPPENING ON THIS DAY....I felt bad for him, we stayed and enjoyed grilled bologna with our friends, laughed and just enjoyed the moment...Felt sorry for Mr. Prude who missed out....He could have chosen the thickness of his slice and then grilled with BBQ Sauce & Mustard, then served with baked beans & Potato Salad..

.... I do have a secret recipe which I created at the age of 10 yr old. I call it a "Bologna peanut butter sandwich". It requires the freshest sandwich bread, covered with a thick layer of Jiff peanut butter. It requires that it be Jiff. Then a thick layer of fresh icebox lettuce... followed by two layers of Bologna.... It also requires good bologna like Erkerts or Dinner Bell Bologna.
