Yes, one can prepare.but ice on power lines that breaks the lines, you can't prepare for that.

Just count me out from everyone else, I can prepare for electrical outages, the same with heat and food. I planned ahead this round. It worked out swell.

Hello Frodo, how are you doing.
As a survivalist, lots of ways to prepare if you take note. Surprises and experience intertwine over the years, if you hear the train a coming, you either hitch a ride or move out the way. Whatever works best or floats peoples boats, a prepared boat could sink, gotta have life jackets and extra boats. Inflatables are way better than they use to be.

If you have a generator but some people don't.  There is not much one can do if power lines snap.

We've got a bunch
I count 25 boards when I'm signed in
18 I can see if I'm not signed in.
At times Media not shown as guest.
Whether to allow guests to post can be set if is seen.
  Some game boards aren't visible either.
Maybe something about space and I think in general prefer people be registered.
  If been a lot of bickering in Media or somebody banned coming back as guest etc. I think been not visible as guests for awhile and then later shows again.

It is just that I have a topic I would like to post but I don't want to post it on The Firm if guests can't see it.....I know that I can't see it when signed out....
