If needed  but it would be a lot of work and take gobs of heat though....It is still snowing
This last storm got me thinking.. better have a backup plan quick.. the earth and weather isn't as predictable as they think

It is good to have a back up plan and I am real glad I did this winter....The only thing I can do here is hunker down and feed the animals and birds. It would take a week or 2 of 70 degree weather for me to even attempt to get out of here..... Still snowing too....It just won't stop but it sure looks beautiful here,,, Just the snow and huge hemlock trees,,, all the underbrush is covered..
With the lasting deep cold, I am actually surprised the hydro is still running...Creek must be entirely covered with snow but I haven't been there to see....I would need some snow shoes but they are buried where I last left them and I am sure not wading out there... I am stuck for the duration and all stocked up till it goes  down....Cabin fever? I  love it...

Shoot , fur real..that's life the great outdoors of all adventuring right there.. equivalent to catching the big wave as a surfer.. I bet you're having a blast.. I'm sensing the scenery.. the evergreen trees.. distance views.. icy creeks and waterfalls..

A good morning to you too, Sprocket....I love growing or shooting my food...It's the only way to go as far as I'm concerned... I am going to grow all the usual garden veggies but I am also adding parsnips to the list for the first time in about 20 years and I am also going to try some purple amaranth for the first time....

I haven't been to a grocery store since about labor day so the prices would probably scare me...
Processed foods are very bad for all of those who consume them...I avoid them at all costs despite my cravings for some of them.... Those chemicals they put in food are dangerous no matter what the "experts" say....  No one should be constantly challenging their bodies with these chemicals on a daily basis....  One thing they won't tell you is that many of these food additive chemicals are cumulative in the body and can (and do) cause all kinds of disorders including Pain and inflammation....

It's still snowing too and to be very truthful, I am getting a bit scared... My mate at the other ranch called me earlier and said the same thing but we are headed for a long awaited warmup at least above freezing for a few days and maybe the snow will go down some.../

I am all stocked up except for booze which I will have to either ration it or go without if I can't get out by the middle of March......The only thing that scares us is having a medical issue..Hopefully that won't happen...

Think about it.. you got the woods and snow.. buncha land to roam.. it was all white out there.. it's almost if not better than theme parks if you're set up right.. as in .. freezing your ass off.. some specific goal

Yeah, I got all that stuff but it is all is totally useless when there is this much snow.... Hell I can hardly see the top of my Cat D7... Maybe next week I'll dig it our and start it and at least plow down to my mate's ranch and about a half mile beyond it to the main road...It is supposed to warm up some....Don't know where my snowmobile is....I rode it home drunk the night we got walloped with the first hard snow and I can't remember where I left it....Haven't seen it for about a month...It is under the snow somewhere around here.... I'm sure I'll find it when the snow goes down....lol

Well a pic would put some things into perspective.. like how to get it done.. lots of people are clueless.. unaware.. incapable of off grid living

I am not entirely off grid but pretty close to it....I heard snowmobiles early this morning coming from the direction of my mate's ranch... Maybe they're finally breaking a trail down this way... I hope they bring me some beer... I have to  go out and poke around in the snow with a thin pole to find my snowmobile...   Maybe they will help me dig it out if I find it....  Made some snow shoes last night out of an old inner tube, some parachute cord and some largecopper tube

Probably shouldn't be using that much energy from your body in that situation.. you can always adapt but that sounds risky, you gotta make your own shoes and you possibly hear snowmobiles? Only certain folks can call for you some help, let's hope your neighbors call for help or you could do an SOS for beer

I found my snowmobile and they helped me get it out....Going to go to town and buy some beer and a few other things.... Now that the trail is open, it's finally Party time ....
