Oh girl....the stories I could tell. All of my kids were 8 years apart. Different parenting advice/styles for each child. I feel like I hit my stride by the third child. Almost wish we would have had more because that’s when I finally figured it out.
I look at their lives now and see the results of our parenting styles in each one of them. It’s so important. I’m sure your boy will turn out great. He has great parents.
You had quite an adventure with so far spaced births. Is true, every generation brings new ideas about parenting. Even when "we" adopted my daughter, she was not an infant or even a toddler, but still books i have read about parenting are a bit different now than those read back then. I doubt any book or "expert" or trendy advice is going to apply to all children, as every child is individual.
I look back and smile, about four yrs ago i had one child, now i am mama presiding over a fam with three 14 yro olds, an 11 yr old and a one month old. Would never have imagined this would be. Also would not trade it for the world.
Thank you. Yours seem to have made their own place in the world which is a hallmark of good parenting. I know some older people who are very upset over their children being on their own, having their own lives. Is that not the purpose of parenting and the life you raised them to have, i always want to ask.
