Still jumping on McConnell who as far as I know still in hospital. Was last week when Trump jumped on him for not voting his way on a bill when he wasn't voting on any bill

Please don't count the votes. Anything but votes. We'll lose if people's votes are counted
Glad to see Justice Barrett wrote majority opinion

Trump doubles down on SAVE America Act after Supreme Court loss on mail voting
The president’s desire for a signature elections bill has all but frozen Hill Republicans’ agenda.

“In light of the tremendous loss in the Supreme Court today concerning Voter’s Rights, and the fact that ‘people’s’ votes are allowed to be counted LONG AFTER an Election is over, it is more important than ever to pass THE SAVE AMERICA ACT,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The president has fixated on the SAVE America Act, even as some Senate Republicans insist the legislation simply does not have enough votes. Trump called out five senators as “Hold Outs” on the bill, naming Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), Bill Cassidy (R-La.) and Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

Monday’s ruling upheld a Mississippi law allowing election officials to count mail-in ballots received up to five days after Election Day. A bipartisan mix of over a dozen states allow at least some ballots that arrive after Election Day to still be counted so long as they are postmarked before then. More states extend that grace period to certain military and overseas voters.

Trump has advocated for severely restricting mail voting, which he has claimed without evidence is responsible for widespread fraud.

The Trump administration has also sought to empower the Postal Service to withhold ballots if states don’t hand over their voter rolls, though an executive order instructing the agency to do so was batted down by a federal judge.

A core tenet of the SAVE America Act, according to the president, would be to drastically limit when voting by mail is available to citizens with few exceptions, alongside requiring voters to present photo identification and proof of citizenship.

We'll see what Trump does.

Passed 85-5 in Senate. Overwhelming majorities to override if Trump chooses that route

Johnson sends landmark housing bill to Trump for signature
The bill could become law around July 10, unless the president signs or vetoes the housing legislation.

Even T and pos know there was mostly nobody there why would you go a ferris wheel and sky high bad food.
There was a BBQ festival in DC that had carnival food along with the BBQ.

The festival you are referring to is the 34th Annual Giant National Capital Barbecue Battle (America's Food and Music Festival), which took place on Pennsylvania Avenue NW between 3rd and 7th Streets in downtown Washington, D.C.The event ran from Saturday, June 27, to Sunday, June 28. It featured world-class pitmasters, live performances across multiple stages (including the Chuck Brown Band and Tito Puente Jr.), food sampling, and various cooking contests.

Platner and Collins locked in tight race for Senate seat, new poll shows
Maine voters want to see Democrats take control of the Senate — but are still wary of throwing their weight behind the scandal-ridden Graham Platner.
https://www.politico.com/news/2026/06/29/platner-collins-maine-senate-poll-00980057

Graham Platner and Susan Collins are locked in a neck-and-neck battle for Maine’s Senate seat, a race that could determine which party takes control of the Senate.

In a New York Times/Press Herald/Siena Poll published Monday, 49 percent of likely Maine voters said they support Platner, the progressive newcomer. But that’s only a 2 point lead over Collins, an advantage too slight to reliably forecast the election outcome. The incumbent Republican trailed in major polls during her 2020 reelection bid before securing a decisive win over Democrat Sara Gideon.

By and large, the surveyed voters lean Democratic.(Not sure meaning here. Poll should mirror population so whether mean more than general population I don't know)
Over half voted for Kamala Harris in 2024; today, they overwhelmingly disapprove of President Donald Trump’s presidency, excoriating how he’s handled the economy, cost-of-living crisis, immigration and the Iran war. Come this fall, most voters prefer that Democrats take control of the Senate.

A majority of surveyed voters said his string of controversies has either called into question their support for him or made them disavow him entirely. And Collins is winning 10 percent of voters who would prefer Democrats take control of the Senate.(Danger sign. I don't think that improves)

Despite the controversies and ensuing set of personnel shake-ups in Platner’s high-profile campaign, he still bested Gov. Janet Mills in the Democratic primary earlier this month. In Washington, high-profile Democrats have begrudgingly supported Platner, but they remain focused on defeating Collins.

Platner’s supporters have rallied behind his policies — 24 percent of his would-be voters say they’re motivated by a “positive view of candidate’s policies” — but Collins has the moral advantage, the poll shows. A third of her supporters are rallying behind Collins thanks to a positive view of her character. Meanwhile, a quarter of those supporters said they’ll vote for Collins due to a “negative view” of Platner’s morals and competence.

Still, voters have fresh fears about Collins. Fifty-four percent worry that she would support Trump’s policies too much if reelected. And some of her supporters worry that she’s “too old” to be an effective senator.

“But, and the ‘but’ is huge, [state voters] respect Collins’ moral values, while some have concerns about Platner,” said Don Levy, executive director of the Siena Research Institute.

The poll of 608 likely voters was conducted from June 19-26 and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4.8 percentage points.

So I looked it up and no news. I think we deserve more.
If he has had a stroke or whatever they should tell us.

Sen. Mitch McConnell's condition remains unclear 2 weeks after being hospitalized
It's been more than two weeks since Sen. Mitch McConnell was admitted to the hospital, and there's still few details surrounding his condition or why he's there.

It's been more than two weeks since Sen. Mitch McConnell was admitted to the hospital, and there's still few details surrounding his condition or why he's there.

A spokesperson for McConnell's office told WLKY Sunday night that there are "no updates at this time" regarding the senator's condition.

The office reiterated its same message from last week saying, "Senator McConnell is still working closely with staff on Senate business and Kentucky matters as he continues his recovery."

The spokesperson added that McConnell will not be voting this week, but that is not unusual because the Senate is currently out of session.

"As of Wednesday of last week, there are no Senate votes, as the Senate is not in session to vote," the spokesperson said.

The office did not say whether he remains hospitalized or if he's been released.

McConnell was originally admitted to the hospital on June 14.
WLKY spoke to Sen. Rand Paul the day after McConnell was hospitalized, and Paul said he "heard he's doing better," but in the two weeks since, McConnell's office has not disclosed a reason why he was hospitalized, and no additional details about his condition have been released.
