As long as they stay in Chicago-land.  Indiana is a mistake.  Hammond is by Gary.  It's all by the Southside.  You don't want go there.  I even knew when I was 5-7 years old ... stay away from the southside.  That's real ghetto.

Chicagoland is the name of the metropolitan area serving Chicago and includes Indiana cities such as Gary and Hammond. It would still retain Chicago name and city will still have influence with them even if in Indiana. Both NY teams play in NJ for similar reasons…

2nd day of attacks by Iran and US

US military says it struck multiple targets in Iran as ceasefire is strained by 2nd day of attacks
U.S. Central Command said it responded to the Iranian forces' drone attack on a tanker carrying more than two million barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz.
Updated: 06/27/2026 07:54 PM EDT

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — The U.S. military said Saturday it had struck multiple targets in Iran at President Donald Trump’s direction, continuing a string of attacks that have shaken the war’s uneasy ceasefire.

U.S. Central Command, in a post to social media, said that U.S. military aircraft targeted Iranian military “surveillance infrastructure, communication systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities, and minelayer capabilities” following an attack on a merchant vessel early on Saturday morning.

The ongoing strikes in the Persian Gulf show the danger of the Iran war again spinning out of control, even after Iran and the U.S. reached an interim deal to try and agree on a final accord to end the conflict.

In a social media post, Trump said the U.S. had “struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, for violating the Cease Fire Agreement, AGAIN!” He warned of a point where the U.S. may no longer be able to be reasonable “and will be forced to militarily complete the job.”

“If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

US says strikes were a response to Iranian attack on oil tanker
U.S. Central Command said that in this latest attack Iranian forces attacked the oil tanker Kiku with a one-way drone. The tanker was laden with more than two million barrels of crude oil and sailing through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to ship tracking websites, the Kiku left a Qatari oil field in the middle of the Persian Gulf earlier in the week and was bound for a port in the United Arab Emirates that sits on the Gulf of Aman, just on the other side of the Strait of Hormuz.

It appeared to be attempting to use a route that was established near the coast of Oman that is serving as an alternative to the route sanctioned by Iran that runs through its own waters.

A multinational maritime body overseen by the U.S. Navy said Saturday that it would expand the Omani route to allow for both inbound and outbound traffic, likely setting up a new flashpoint with Tehran, which sees the strait as a key source of leverage in ongoing talks with the U.S.

Messi has 6 goals for defending champions Argentina.
Didn't start tonight but came off bench.
Leading contender for Golden Boot.

Starting tomorrow-Sunday-knockout rounds.
If win you're in Final 16.
If you lose you're out.

In the nightcap, Argentina stayed undefeated in Group J with a 3-1 win over Jordan that featured a late Lionel Messi goal. Simultaneously, Austria and Algeria battled to a raucous 3-3 draw that will send both teams through and leave Iran out of the knockout round.

Trump pushes civil rights enforcement to the states
The shrinking of the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights means students’ ability to get help dealing with alleged violations may depend on which state they call home.

Being grounded for a year was tough. I ended up not going to NY this past week to help my Mom. Got some bad news about my 4 year old Grandson. Stuff no parent wants to hear. I decided that I needed to stay here to be here for my daughter. It's been a rough 2 weeks.

Prayers for your mom and grandson

Hammond and Gary are dominated by Bears fans anyway…

Gary is a sh1thole. I have known that since I was a little kid.  It's like an extension of the south side of Chicago  which is awful.

People need to just start burning these to the ground.  They can fund their own fire departments if they want to protect them.

Why the eff should the rest of us fund their fire protection?  They can fund it themselves or watch it go up in smoke.  If I were an officer and one of them got burnt down, I wouldn't look very hard to see who might have done it.  The data center can fund its own investigation.  I wonder if the town can ban the fire departments from servicing them.  I would demand it and in doing so highly suggest that someone without much to lose might want to burn it down once they lost fire protection services.

For real??

There's no evidence she said that. Probably satire.
