Trouble with that is, trump is maga and one way or the other he is on his way out.  He is a lot like rush in that he is so over the top that no one will be able to replace him and have the same numbers.  maga will splinter and republicans, knowing that, will soon begin to maneuver to both distance themselves from trump and to pick up as much leftover support as they can.

The real business of the big two political parties is to stay in business, being maga is becoming a millstone around the neck of republicans looking to the future.
