Well, maybe not lucky, I could always adopt.

FYI, I saw two stink bugs in my house.  I think you jinxed me.

That's why my kids do most of the cleaning.  I rarely go upstairs and they make most of the mess, my house could be half the size it is now, I could eat out all the time and rarely cook, unless I wanted to, and would just hire cleaners to do cleaning.  I had cleaners coming for a while, but the pre-cleaning on their schedule every two weeks was even worse than just being able to clean when it's convenient for us.  They also didn't do such a good job and my son caught the one girl going through our coats.  That was the last time they cleaned.  Eff that.

Used to have cleaners when my ex-wife was here for awhile (why I don't know ... she didn't work or so much and she thought it was terribly unfair to clean and even take kids to dr appointments and deal with school crap ... as if I was expected to work full time and earn all the money (that she spent most of) and do half that other stuff ... no really she had herself convinced this was so unfair) and a gold chain I had in my night stand disappeared around that time.

I don't want cleaners in my home.  You don't know who these people are.

If I do have them, I'm having a hidden safe and hiding all valuables and locking them up, but I don't want to have to worry about that in my own home.

8 minute 25 second mile pace for 5.5 miles.  Way ahead of schedule.

I can already do my half marathon.  You can do in one day the distance you can run in 3 consecutive days.

Now it's just shaving time off and upping distance.

Got an Apple iwatch 4 last week cause my Fitbit, bit the dust.

Says my heart rate peaks at 203 bpm when I'm running.  When I run o go the fastest at the end.  I keep upping the speed the longer I run.  At the end I'm running 9.5 mph.  That's how I train.  When I'm effing equated and I want to collapse I put the pedal down. It works.  It's painful though.  Thats why I said it gets masochistic.  When I've been running I'll go up to 12mph for last minute.

Low 200 was my peak when I did my VO2 Max test about 12 years ago.  I have not changed.  The fitness trainer told me after my test I am a freak of nature.  She designed a custom running schedule for me, but I didn't like it.  I keep my heart rate in the extreme zone the whole time I run.  Keeping at say 160 bpm is too easy and it feels like I'm not even exerting myself.

From my VO2 Max test my lungs can keep my body supplied with enough oxygen until about 186 BPM and then I start going anaerobic, which is when you burn glucose in the absence of oxygen and build up lactic acid in your muscles.  You are only supposed to be able to do that for a little bit, but I can go for a long time:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anaerobic_glycolysis

I feel health-wise and athletic wise like I did when I was in my 20s. A colleague who studied kinesiology and who interned with the Olympic cyclic team in the 80s told me that my heart rate characteristics are usually only found in really elite endurance athletes.  He told me when I hit 38 years of age or so I'd hit a wall. Still haven't.

When I've been running for awhile my resting heart rate goes down to low 50 upper 40s. A nurse freaked out one time on me.

I used to effing hate running when I was younger too.  I didn't start running until my late 20s.  Now I love it.

I do not have a runners body.  So it doesn't translate into elite endurance athlete performance for running, unfortunately, lol.  I have a heavy build and am built more like a Neanderthal than a lengthy twiggy Kenyan distance runner.  I would be better in the octagon for endurance. I actually like sparing in the ring. I'll put on the gloves but I like to use everything ... kicks, elbows, knees, ground and pound.  I'm hard to hit, but I don't have the reach to box and I can finish it much quicker than two guys stand up up beating each other's brains in.  I've been thinking about jointing a martial arts program and getting my belts.  Maybe when my kids are grown.  It will be a new challenge and something I can set goals towards.  I want full combat, though.

7 minute 58 second mile pace for 50 minutes.  6.28 miles in 50 minutes.  Shaved almost a half a minute off my mile pace and ran 5 minutes longer ... in 5 days.  Yeah buddy!

7 minute 58 second mile pace for 50 minutes.  6.28 miles in 50 minutes.  Shaved almost a half a minute off my mile pace and ran 5 minutes longer ... in 5 days.  Yeah buddy!

The next day after ^^ that I hit the wall. I only slept 5.5 hours that night before.  I ran 10 minutes at a 7:54 mile pace and was dragging.  After 10 minutes I switched to a an 8:34 mile pace and could only run for 30 minutes ... after that I walked 5 min ... ran 10 ... walked 5 ... ran 10 ... for 50 min total, but I totally regressed time wise.  After the initial 30 minutes I couldn't even run at my usual pace and ran at 9:14 mile pace.

Next day my tibialis anterior on my left leg just felt so tired and tight.  So I figured I better shut down for awhile.  I didn't feel better until Sunday.

So today I started back up and ran 7 miles in 60 min.  My tibialis anterior on both legs felt so effin tight and I thought I was going to have to quit at 20 minutes but I know sometimes if I push through it will loosen up and it loosened up and I made it 60 minutes.

I need to slow my roll or I'm not gonna even be able to run my race.  Tomorrow I will just do a 5k but try to do a 7:30 mile pace and then I need to resist the urge to keep going. I think I maybe should take the day off and run every other day, but we'll see how it goes.  I have less than 2 weeks and last week was a complete waste.  <sigh>

I'm kind of stuck cause I need to get used to running distance.  I have to do 13.1 miles.

If also rather be able to eat and drink what I want and prefer exercise to strictly watching what I eat and drink.   Yesterday I burned 1200 calories just from my run and 20 minutes walking.  When I'm not really trying to cut weight, I like to have a six pack or a bottle of wine usually 2 or 3 nights a week. I usually just buy a bottle or six back and that's it.  When it's gone, it's gone and that's it for me.

Sometimes I abstain for a while. A month or two, but I kind of grew up in a drinking culture.  I went to college in Madison Wi, for Pete's sake and grew up 10 minutes south of the border.

https://www.wpr.org/wisconsin-ranks-worst-country-excessive-drinking

When I go back home I hit the bars with friends and family.  Then we move the party to someone's house.  I was up until 5 or 6 some nights this summer.  Night before thanksgiving everyone goes out too, usually.  My friend came down by me one time and he said down here in the south every town has as many churches as the number of bars where we come from.  Quite the contrast

Good thing I come from hardy drinking stock.  My leever, my leever.
