I had to stop reading when I reached the part about parasites in the bugs feces, they land on your face at night when sleeping, attracted to the carbon dioxide from breathing. Talk about sleeping with your mouth closed!! yuk!

I know.  I had never seen one in person before but I remember reading about them and seeing them picture of them.  I thought it was one of them and I killed it immediately.  Then I looked up kissing bug just to be sure and sure enough it was one.

That preying mantis owes me big time and should have eaten it before it got on my back deck. That thing is slacking on the job, lol.

There's all kinds of bugs and tics out there, I can't keep up. I just hope i don't get bit by one.

With all our imported goods coming here from over seas to the states, its no wonder we have freaky bugs here.

Ticks are terrible by me in the spring.  If my dogs don't have tick drops on them they get them all over them.  I've been in bed with them and felt a tick crawling on me before ... more than once.  Im lucky that ticks don't seem to like me.  My mom's theory is we must have some smell or something that such things don't like cause as kids none of us ever got lice either no matter how many times there was an outbreak at school.  My folks had 5 kids and none of us ever got lice.  I dunno ... could just be luck too.

Now I stay on top of the tick drops for my dogs so it's not a problem..  They ticks aren't so bad mid summer and late summer.  The Birds eat them and keep the population down but early in the season before all the birds come back they are so bad.

Ticks don't like me either, never got bit. Yeah ticks can be a problem for dogs, its good you give them the drops. Bats are great for eating bugs. They sell bat houses so bats hang around the house, better than those zapping lights.

My folks house caught on fire Wednesday night about midnight.  There downstairs basement is basically like another entire house (it's bigger than my entire house. I think) with its own laundry room.  That's where the fire happened.

They had 4 fire trucks in their driveway at like 1 AM.  Luckily the fire out itself out.  My folks are on vacation of course.

The problem is it burned the whole room and the walls and even the plumbing and that is where their main line to their septic friend goes out and it burned the whole septic pipe and it's all melted and collapsed and underground and they can't even reach it to fix it. So they are gonna have to rip up the concrete floor and do some trenching just to repair it.

So they basically can't use any water in the house.  It's gonna be at least a week to fix.  So my sister and her kids are staying in a hotel and now my brother is good enough to stay there ... my mom called him crying.  So he's not coming down.

I'm just glad it's not worse.  They have a bunch of puppies there.  It's going to be very hard to care for the puppies and do everything with no plumbing in the house.  They have to do and a lot of cleaning and give them bathes sometimes and before they go to their new homes.  I know 3 people were supposed to come on Tuesday to pick up their puppies l.so theybhave a lot of people coming to their home.  Just a disaster.

My folks are at Disney world and they wanted to just go there and relax.  My dad said he's not even really planning on going to the parks (they have a time share through Disney so they can go whenever they want) ... he just wanted to relax there and get alway.  Not very relaxing I'm sure with all this going on.

My brother is pizzed.  He's like now I'm good enough to stay there.  My sister was acting all sweet and nice to him, when she's the one who said he couldn't stay there while my folks were gone.

Fire Marshall and fire restoration people said everyone and all animals need to be out of the house.  It's all toxic from the smoke.  Entire downstairs needs to be gutted because of the toxic chemicals all their art work all their clothes and all their curtains everything needs to be removed from the house and cleaned or replaced.  This is not a week thing theybsaid.  This at least a month thing.  They have umpteen million dogs and puppies.  They are gonna have to rent a trailer or something.  They can't stay in that house ... they can't rent a house with that many dogs.  They are gonna have to get a huge circus tent for the dogs and a trailer and hook up water with a hose to the trailer.  There is no where for them to go.  They have 3 liters of puppies too, I think.

Just being in there is causing them respiratory problems.
