I lived in the area where this killer was on his spree, I left California in 1977.

Patrick Kearney (21+ victims)

Possibly responsible for as many as 43 deaths, Kearney committed his first murder while living in Culver City. He targeted young men in California between 1965 and '77.

I agree about LA, I have been there several times and even where the glamour and bright lights are there are shitty areas in those parts, where the Walk of Fame can be creepy and prostitutution is big in those places,

Also there are perceptions that LA is about the beaches and the coast, it is an inland city 20 miles inside land. LA is also a mountain city with very high altitudes, Hollywood is surrounded by hills...

Hmmmmm...the spree stopped in 1977?  The same year you left the area?  Are you sure they got the right guy?

Garbage bags of body parts were found on a road I traveled on often from that serial killer.

It would be nice if there were a cure for serial killers. I think of them like cats killing birds, humans are like some kind of play toy for them.
