That's a very good movie also, although I haven't seen it in quite some time.

The Devil and Daniel Webster (1941)
Scrooge - Albert Finney or George C. Scott version
Miracle on 34th Street    (1947)
It's a Wonderful Life  (1946)
How Green Was My Valley (1941)
The Grapes of Wrath (1940)

Are a few other classics I enjoy often.

I think part of the problem is that Directors lose a little bit of the what made their earlier movies great- having a solid direction to what the movie is about.  Now they try and make movies more cerebral and ambiguous so it's left open to interpretation in a poor attempt to reach a broader audience. Which when done to an already established franchise like Alien, just makes the sequels fall flat in any real direction and meaning to the viewer.

Fun fact: The Alien Franchise goes through the movie classifications overall in the way they are formatted.

Alien - Suspense
Aliens- Horror
Aliens 3- Drama
Alien: Resurrection - Comedy
Prometheus - Adventure
Alien: Covenant - Thriller

I also enjoyed Baby Driver.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I went and seen the remake of 'Pet Sematary' last night.   It was done really well with just enough differences in the story line to make it unique without losing the overall feel of the original story.

I love reading Stephen King and I'm glad to see some of his stories getting redone properly, IMHO.   "IT" (2017) was also enjoyable and would recommend it.

I toO loved both the original and new, Baby Driver...

And...

I toO love, Stephen king... I want to see the new, Pet Cemetery!!! I liked the original and the boOk... Same with, IT, as well... They did goOd...

Solo... A Star Wars Movie...

Okay, okay...

Somehow I totally missed this movie...

I surprising liked it... I'm not the biggest fan of watching other actors playing, ""my beloved favorite actors roles..."" But!!! The actor who was playing the young, Solo... Originally played by, Harrison Ford... Was great!!! He nailed that part!!! I absolutely loved it!!!

The Force is real... We all have a battle going on inside of us between the goOd and the bad... The light and the dark... Yin and yang... Energy is real... But unfortunately I personally don't think I could train myself to use any energy to move anything or to control the weak minded etc... So the odds of me training to become a Jedi anytime soOn are very slim...

Nice!!!

Lol!!!

(((I'm Loving This Thread BTW!!!)))

I have literally seen so, so, so many movies and/or shows...

My brain is a huge memory bank full of all kinds of video and audio... It's pretty mind blowing to actually stop and think about just how much the human brain can store when it comes to things like that...

Long story short... I love sharing and discussing movies etc...

😊

Yes it's funny what are brains retain and what it doesn't retain.
Thanks for liking this thread, keep visiting.

Just watched Ancient Aliens last nite. They had on an interesting piece about Cyborgs - meshing humans with robots so they can deal with the challenges of Mars. I like the idea of exploring Mars and the universe, but messing with peoples DNA to be 1/2 human and 1/2 robot I think is a stretch.

I watched this video on YouTube about a guy who claims he used to be a marshian in a past life and that there is still life on mars but underground... He claims he used to be a ship flyer and came here to earth during the Ancient Egyptian days and tought them stuff and that there's an opening behind the Sphinxes ear... And when mankind finds it and what's inside the world will change etc...
