« on: Today at 11:37:09 pm »Unless my son is driving the boat, I am not having more than one or two mic-ultras when I go out there. I had a tall IPA and a half in me when we left the restaurant. I was only gonna have two, but figured 1.5 was enough after I saw all those boats pulled over. Then when we left the restaurant, I passed a police boat and nodded to the officers, right after the no wake. Then when I picked up speed and was cruising maybe about 1/8 of a mile in front of them I see something black out of my right corner vision and then I look to my right again and it's the rope that my son dropped on the front of the boat when he got in it at the dock. I have told them you always wind those up and don't leave the rope lose. It takes 3 seconds to wind it up.

If I am just going down to the beach to toss a line for a little bit, I don't even bother to take my fishing license. I will if I am taking a bunch of gear but if I am toting just a rod and a beer I don't bother as even if they come by, I have a 2+ mile view in both directions and can scoot up the bank if I need too.
I told my son, "you owe me ... if I didn't say let's go back, you'd have gotten a ticket." They have a police RV at the one marina we parked at this time. It has a blue police light flashing all day, lol.
We usually use the public launch.
