You would probably not get on a jury here as you would not be impartial. Both sides want impartial jurors. By the way, juveniles who commit petty crimes don't get a jury trial, often they have charges diverted through a diversion program and charges dismissed. They never have a jv record.
You can get on any jury , just tell them what they want to hear.

I don't have to "win" to be "right".

Kids are kids or they are not. You can't have it both ways.   Bring that to me as a juror and a not guilty on all charges is what you will get.

And I have answered it. You don't like the way the laws are written than contact your state legislature and tell them. I highly doubt you change the laws because you don't like it.

My black sheep brother should do that for a job.  He'd drive the bat sh1t crazy.  He got mad at me cause he wanted to live here for a few weeks before my folks moved into their new house.  I told all of them that was a huge mistake, him moving in.  Things seem to have calmed down, recently.

I wasn't thinking of him but yes if you are one of those very annoying people, might as well use your talent for good and profit, right?

Yes, Let's be reasonable. That is what I am saying.

I told my folks for the first time in his life he has been living down by me on his own and paying his own bills and they come down and ask him to move in because they travel all the time and have a million dogs.

Would a lawn mower be considered dangerous machinery?  :)  Farm equipment?
Any machinery could be considered dangerous. I was driving a tractor on the highway at 12. And now, we are letting 15 year olds get there permit and so 16 they are driving a vehicle which could be considered dangerous machinery and it is allowed. 16, they get pulled over and charged, they go to adult court on driving.

Let's be reasonable. And yes, there have been plenty if kids gotten off on technicalities and been able to go do whatever they wanted in life because the charges don't exist in Kentucky if dismissed. You have an issue with it, contact your state legislatures and let them know. And plenty of 14 year olds have had babies.

Caught up on the Ukraine war news last evening, the UA has crashed 5 bridges into and out of Crimea.

Those are on all of the supply routes.  Russia's whole southern front is now in danger of beans, bullets, and band aids starvation.

And if, at 14, one of them had come to you saying they wanted to have a baby, take out a loan for a house, and get a job operating dangerous heavy machinery, you would say.....?

In fact, let's explore that some more. Same kid is told no, goes out and murders someone, gets charged as an adult, gets off on a technicality, could they now do all the things they wanted to do?

I have also known some 14 year.olds who have gotten jobs that were dangerous, hell, my brothers were operating heavy machinery when they were that age and at 16, my brother got a loan from the bank and bought his car.
