I had CoVid.....

Glad you are getting better. My daughter is just now recovering and she can't taste nor smell anything. She tells me that is an awful symptom.

I only lost my sense of smell...but not for everything. I can taste with no problem. I just came out of isolation yesterday and then found out my daughter has it today, I was really bummed out.

We had vegetable beef soup that I had made the other day. It is good on a cold day.

I got the ingredients for the soup but stopped by Noodles for dinner. I thought Noodles were everywhere but my Mom in NY had never heard of them. I had Japanese Pan Noodles with tofu.

There’s one in Lexington and one in Louisville. I’m not sure about any place else. I’ve eaten at the one in Louisville and it’s very good.

I was bummed out when my son and daughter came down with it too. They were both so careful to follow all the guidelines. My son is a few states away in Arizona, so there is not anything at all I could do for him. I will send good vibes to you and your daughter.

No kidding? Wow! Yes, of course I’ve eaten at Drakes. Malones is my most favorite place to eat. They’ve really branched out but I’m not sure how many restaurants they might have now. I honestly thought they were both from Lexington. It’s Bluegrass Hospitality Or something like that. I’ve met Mr. Drake at Malones but I’ve never met the other gentleman. I like the Turkey, Swiss, and Avocado at Drakes and of course I generally have either Rib Eye or Salmon at Malones. I’ve always said if I were ever going to be involved in a restaurant, it would be just like Malones. I’m guessing you’ve eaten there a few times yourself. I like how they’ve named a number of their dishes after U.K. Football and Basketball.

Yep, he has several restaurants and opened one up where he and I are from. He sent all of us classmates a gift card and I went there and had the mini BLT's and they were awesome. I think he has plans of opening one up in TN. I haven't ate at Malones.

I think he’s already opened a few in TN and maybe IN as well. Malones and Drakes are the same partnership but Malones requires a reservation and is steak and so forth whereas Drakes is sandwiches and such. Malones has sandwiches as well but Drakes is more of a leisure type establishment. They have another restaurant as well but I can’t recall the name and I haven’t been there. They also have a sushi bar at Drakes. You’ll need to try Malones as well.

Definitely will. I think the other restaurants they owned are Harry's, Aqua Sushi,  and OBC Kitchen?

I'm going to grill some chicken legs in the snow, toss them in homemade buffalo sauce with broccoli rice and green beans (slow cooked with salt pork) on the side!
When in doubt, power out.
