Anniversary supper last night was a thick ribeye sandwich and baked potato with a salad and a chocolate Hershey pie!

I cooked for a houseful of people yesterday so I am not cooking much today. I thought I would whip up a batch of Cowboy Sloppy Joes and maybe some chips and a dill pickle. They can count themselves lucky I am fixing that much. Part of me is saying,"Pull out a loaf of bread and a pack of boloney" But, nobody here likes boloney except for me, so I guess I won't do that to them. I may make a fruit salad.

I知 having cauliflower crust pizza straight out of the frozen food section but I am gonna throw it in the oven.

Yes Misty, I知 with Pete. I壇 like to hear more about those cowboy sloppy joes. My sloppy joes come from a Manwich can although I知 sure they would be much better and not much more difficult if they were made from scratch.

Post the recipe for those cowboy sloppy joes as they sound delicious. I like baloney if it is fried with a good ole tomato on it.

Cowboy Sloppy Joes
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup ketchup or tomato sauce
1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chiles
1/2 cup beef broth
1/4 cup chili sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
6 hamburger buns, split
2 tablespoons butter, softened

Directions
In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat for 6-8 minutes or until beef is no longer pink, breaking up beef into crumbles; drain. Add garlic; cook 1-2 minutes longer. Stir in the ketchup, chiles, broth, chili sauce and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Meanwhile, spread cut sides of buns with butter. Place on baking sheets, buttered side up. Broil 4 in. from the heat for 1-2 minutes or until toasted. Serve beef mixture in buns.
