Fresh green beans with new potatoes, fried green tomatoes, fresh creamed corn, cornbread and ripe tomatoes. My sister came and ate with us. I had baked peanut butter cookies today and had a pineapple to cut, but we ate too much dinner, so we passed on dessert. The dinner took us back to our childhood. Back when we used to have to hoe the corn and pick the beans.I probably will have the leftovers tomorrow.
Love fried green tomatoes and fresh corn.

Yes, it is too hot to cook. I just bought an Instant pot, but I don't really know how to use it yet. I don't know if I will ever use it, because I am a slow cooker type. My mother always used pressure cookers and they kinda scared me. Anyway, I am thinking maybe a BLT and a fresh peach.

I know what you mean about pressure cookers and when I can and turn it off after processing I still let it cool completely down.

Not sure what we are having for supper tonight.  Son is spending the night with a friend. Daughter is spending the night with a friend.  I told both of them that this would be the last sleepovers they have with friends for a bit since school starts soon.

Lasagna with extra cheese, fresh garden salad, buttered peas, Italian bread and for dessert  Peach-Crisp-A-La-Mode

My son's favorite. I thought I would fix it for him since he isn't that fond of garden vegetables like I am.I know he hates seeing green beans and fried tomatoes as much as he has this summer. I thought I would be nice today.
