T-bone steak, baked potato, broccoli. But I have no steaks here so will have to settle for chicken thighs and broccoli and boiled potatoes.

Is there any chicken in the sub> I gave up on Subway years ago, theres NO meat in their hoagies, just alot of lettice. This would be good if I were a rabbit!

I know what you mean. I once went in Subway with a friend and when the girl took his order, he pointed to a picture on the wall and said,"Make mine like that one." lol

I thought it was going to be a cool, rainy day so I put on a pot of chili. Not that it really bothers me because I often fix chili in the summer. lol
I have a beautiful strawberry cake topped with fresh strawberries for dessert.

I eat Hormel Chilli in a can, on those lazy cooking days.

I make it different ways according to what I have in the pantry. My favorite way is to add a small pack of strawberry gelatin to a white cake mix, add about a cup of smashed strawberries. Then frost with strawberry buttercream frosting and then garnish with fresh strawberries. I used to make the cake from scratch but I found using a box mix is not only easier but it is also tastier.

Sounds good and I think that is the one I remember seeing a recipe of. My grandmother made hers from scratch. If you put milk in a cake mix instead of water it will make your cake taste homemade.

Our Subway does a real good job of putting meat in sandwiches and salads. I prefer them over Jimmy John's.  We have a Firehouse Subs but it is expensive but good and I like McAlister's.

I haven't had that one from Arby's,  I am not a big fan of there's but then we don't est out a lot because with a family of 4 it cost like $50.00 -$60.00 to eat out. I prefer to cook unless we are on vacation.

Me too. I started cooking in my grandmother's kitchen when I was about 4 years old. ( Mostly I guess I thought I was cooking I guess). I prefer to cook and I love to cook. My mother says that my cooking reminds her of her mother's cooking and that is the ultimate compliment for me.

And another trick is to use more eggs than the recipe calls for. I used to make most of my cakes from scratch but I don't anymore. Unless it is one there isn't a mix for such as an fresh apple raisin walnut cake. I bake a lot. one of my favorite tv cooks is Ree Drummond. Do you have a favorite?

Tonight we had leftover pot roast with potatoes and carrots. I used to put my daughter in 4-H cooking too. I never entered the cooking but I was in 4-H too. I always entered the talent shows. I love cooking but music is my first passion.

I prefer Trisha Yearwood and liked it when Paula Deen was on there. Ree kind of gets on my nerves and a lot of her stuff isn't from scratch but her show is still good and some of her food is good also. Cooking, tractor safety and tobacco was the only thing I did in 4-H, lol.

Fresh green beans with new potatoes, fried green tomatoes, fresh creamed corn, cornbread and ripe tomatoes. My sister came and ate with us. I had baked peanut butter cookies today and had a pineapple to cut, but we ate too much dinner, so we passed on dessert. The dinner took us back to our childhood. Back when we used to have to hoe the corn and pick the beans.I probably will have the leftovers tomorrow.
