I first started posting on the Caylee Anthony Threads with some of the most all-time greatest posters ever to grace Topix - which I've listed just some of the few here on Texas Pete's Forum and I will neve forget them.
That forum then led me to EagleEye1, and the rest is history..

Before all of this:
I searched for my birthparents and am grateful to have found them which are still both alive.
I first related this story on TopMod15's thread of that time in my life, and when I was first introduced to the world-wide-internet to do such.

And, I'm thankful to now be here on Texas Pete's Forum where I find it safe because of the Moderators.

I won’t ask anything that is none of my business. However, I will say that it is so nice that you were reunited with your parents.

That’s because he removed his profile before he left.

He seems like a really good guy, but for whatever reason, he’s promoted himself to the book of history.

It would be nice if he would stay, but he has his reasons for leaving.

I have had some bouts of insomnia but I think it is because of the boy being gone.

I can imagine it is taking quite a bit to adjust to. He is doing so well, i know you are very proud of him.
Blessed are those that believe in what is best for them, for never shall their minds be terrorized.

I found Topix in 2007 after following a link about GMO's.
I was quickly trolled by a lunatic pEta worker I nicknamed "Lumpy" because she found out I worked for one of the company's that made them...all be it in a totally different part of that company.
She then followed me to the hunting threads where I and others trolled her right back.
I mostly posted on said hunting threads, the gun threads, the music threads and Denny's thread.
I stayed greybox until 2013 using many different names including Chris P Critter, Henry & Rambler...and lost my registered profile last year after I called Chilli a "Pompous Prick" and told him that I'd like to take him behind the hooch and give him a little attitude adjustment.
That in turn got him and his Topix lover CC butt hurt so they got me banned.

I like your profile. Is that a pic you took? I have a friend who has taken a lot of pics of bears but he gets them on his trail cam

Thank You  ;D
Unfortunately no...I got the pic off of the internet, but I do have plenty of pics I've taken of other wildlife (Moose, Elk, Deer etc) as well as landscapes and old abandoned homesteads.
I own two DSLR bodies, a older Nikon D40X and a newer D300 and several lenses.

I have a Sony with several lenses and even a lens that i can attach to my phone. Still playing along with that one. This is a pic I took a couple of years ago

Yes, I was very fortunate in that not all reunions have a happy ending.
Thank you for your post, and nice to meet you.

That is a good thing because I know some who haven't had such a good experience. My cousin has tried to find her birth parents not so much to reunite but for medical background.

Many do not.  You have to be prepared for that possible outcome when deciding to search, too.
Myself, I waited until both my Mom & Dad had passed away before searching because I knew it would have broke their hearts (even though they said had said otherwise)

My route was much easier since Birth Records became open to Adoptees as long as the birthparents had filed no rejection.
My birthmother was 16 and father was 19.
You somehow feel complete and at peace when the missing pieces of the puzzle finally do connect.

I hope your cousin one day has as much success as I had in finding mine.
It finally puts an end to all the mysteries..
