They were and they also would call my kids imported aliens because we adopted internationally,  claimed we kidnapped them, that the adoptions weren't legal. Asked why I chose to adopt internationally instead of domestically even after telling them that at the time we chose to adopt that a  birth mother could change her mind and that you could have had the child since birth and 6 years and 11 months later the birth nother could have that child back. It was freaking ignorant.  We are grateful to their birth noms and I an grateful to all birth moms, not just my kids but all.

I can understand that kind of frustration. However, you do have a good family, as far as I can tell because it isn’t everyday that a good mother and father adopts someone else’s children.

Did you ever have your own?

Nope. Never had my own, couldn't get pregnant and even if I could have the chances of being able to carry to full term would have been risky. It never bothered me that I couldn't.  My husband and I had said that even if we could have had kids of our own, we still would have adopted. I had worked for an agency that specialized in adoptions when when I was younger and always delighted in seeing the families.

That incident was one of the ugliest I had ever seen on Topix. And to make matters worse, one of those who was always the first to make that claim also claimed to be a Christian.
