My wife... the pretty little Mrs. Cowface turned Vegitarian some years ago. She will eat fish & seafood. I am a big meat eater. We visit buffets often... she has wide selections as do I.

Kids like hotdogs so here goes..

If you like cooking on the grill but don't have time, here's an easy one.
The hotdogs taste like they've been grilled outside.

Turn your crock pot up on high.
Drain the juice from the hotdogs.
Put the hotdogs in the pot for one hour, no water added.  Put lid on.
10 minutes before the hour is up, wrap the buns in foil and place in the
crock pot.  Grilled hotdogs!

Partially cook sausages in pan which is to be used for baking.
Pour off part of the fat.

Beat the eggs well, and then add the flour & salt gradually - then add milk.
Mix this one hour before using.
Have a fair amount of fat in pan with the sausages and have it piping hot before pouring in the batter.

I hope someone can post a recipe for you Jem.
I would but I was raised in a meat and potato home, so I don't really have any vegetarian recipes to share.
I'm hoping the Mrs. Cowface can help us out here.

Chicken and rice
3 to 4 chicken breasts, uncooked
Rice according to how many people you are serving
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 small can of mushrooms
1 package of Lipton Onion Soup Mix
Mix the cream soups, mushrooms and lipton onion soup mix after rice is cooked with the rice.
Preheat oven to 325
In a large casserole dish that has been greased. Place rice concoction and then place uncooked chicken on top. Sprinkle another package of Lipton Onion Soup Mix on top and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour until chicken is done. I have also added broccoli florets to rice mixture.

Not your Grandma's Brussel Sprouts

1 pound of Brussels sprouts,  quartered
1 tablespoon of olive oil
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven 425
Lay Brussel sprouts on baking sheet or oven safe skillet.
Drizzls with olive oil. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Toss to coat.
Bake 10 minutes, shake the pan to turn and bake 8 to 10 more minutes, until crisp and golden.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with grated cheese.

I got this recipe from daughter's 4-H trip and she loved it.

I have a secret recipie that I envented when I was 11 years old during one summer off from school. My folks both worked so we fed ourselves during summer break. So I created the absolute best sandwich I have ever eaten to this day... the balogna peanut butter and lettuce sandwhich.

You must have 2 slices of very fresh soft sandwhich bread (Only fresh soft)
Cover both pieces of bread with a thick layer of Jiff peanut butter (Has to be Jiff)
Layer with a thick piece of good bologna (If not thick, use two)
Layer with a thick layer of icebox lettuce ( has to be icebox lettuce)

Try and tell me what you think... you're welcome in advance.
And rember, this is a secret recipie known only to me... so don't give it out.

Cowface, I think I will have to pass on that one. It is the same as pickles and peanut butter sandwiches.
