Oh my goodness, I absolutely love this thread! Y'all have the best memories and you've all been blessed beyond measure. I'm afraid I might be a little envious.  :(

My uncle told the story when he was a boy on his way home from school he came upon a racer snake on the dirt road.  He ran and ran as fast as he could go, that snake hot on his heels.  He said by the time he made it home  the snake had beat him there.

A bumble bee got after me one morning, chased me completely around the house.  I ran as fast as my little legs would go but I had to slow down long enough to run up the porch steps and open the screen door, that's when it finally got me.  I walked over to my grandma's house screaming to high heaven.  She sat me down at the kitchen table, put baking soda paste on the sting and fed me fresh corn on the cob out of the garden.  Man, that corn was good...  lol

LOL.  There used to be a huge honey bee nest in the base of a tree right next to a road where we used to ride our bikes. We'd have to haul ass by to avoid getting stung.  Even doing that, they would chase us for a bit!

I remember doing that, you had to be quick because they could really scoot going backwards and the big ones hurt when they pinched your finger. I remember dropping ants in a doodle bug hole and watching them disappear so quick you didnt see what got em.
