They should have given the man his license plate and been done with it.

Now the county will be out of a one hundred and fifty grand which could have been used towards something more constructive.

Musk offered the owner of the "Elon Musk's Jet" account $5,000 to remove it, Protocol reported.

The account uses public data to track the location of Musk's private jet.

Its owner countered with an offer of $50,000 but has not heard back from Musk.
