The Who- and solo
« on: May 05, 2024, 08:59:58 pm »
Had a thought.
We've done a lot of RUSH songs. We can do other bands.

Here's a big band with lots of songs and albums that have performed a long time.
The Who
Solo artists fine to post.
Pete Townshend

I'll start. From Face Dances LP-  Daily Records

An interesting song. A newer song released in 2004.
  Tribute to Elvis Presley
During live performances, Roger Daltrey gives a short introduction to the song, describing it as a song about "a man that changed my life at the age of 11. I saw Elvis Presley live at 11. Thank God I did, I loved him because everybody under the age of 20 thought they were Elvis and dressed like him. Everybody over 20 hated him and that was good enough for me.

I'm A Boy-The Who  See under song. If parents could choose gender of babies

"I'm a Boy" is a 1966 rock song written by Pete Townshend for the Who. The song was originally intended to be a part of a rock opera called Quads, which was to be set in a future in which parents can choose the sex of their children. The idea was later scrapped, but this song survived and was later released as a single.

One more today. How about cloning?
Interesting lyrics.
"Everything I do been done before. Every sentence in my head someone else has said. And each end of my life is an open door"
