I wondered if your name was a refernce to the Rush Hemispheres song?  It's one of my favorites among Rush's "concept" albums.

My name doesn’t just reflect a Rush song, but also reflects the first Black Hole ever discovered that Einstein predicted called, Cygnus X-1.

And I have to admit that the Rush album is one of my personal favorites as well.

I remember watching them in an interview and the thought of them never making those long pieces of music again because they are too hard. At one point it took the band a few months just to get the music the way they wanted it without mistakes.

Can’t say I blame them.
They’re getting too old. lol

If I could do so I’d give you a thumbs up, but it’s useless cause it won’t work.

I like some of the music on their newest albums and I think you’ll like them too since you are a big fan and collect their albums.

I actually have to get some of the newer albums cause I haven’t updated my CD collection and plan on doing it soon.

One of my favorite albums is “Counterparts” cause that is more indicative of their roots of classical Rush instead of their newer more variant music. And it showed cause that was one of their best selling albums of the time.

Oh, no problem al all. I’ve been enjoying myself here and am glad I was invited. Thanks friend. 🙂

That’s another one of their best albums as far as I’m concerned, but they have so many great works that have come over the years that I feel grateful to have heard their work..in a way.

And when I hear each album it brings back good memories of times that have gone into the trails of history, but never forgotten.

Caress of Steel is a well conceived addition to anyone’s collection that will span the test of time.

Did you know that at the time they were using Peavey amps? That’s why there is so much distortion in the music. And why they changed to Marshal amps.
However, I don’t know if they are still using Marshal amps or not.

Thank you for creating this thread that is exclusively dedicated to the works of the rock band, Rush.
