Cowface, that is the way we always sang 'A Beautiful Life' in church too. Here is another hymn by Johnny cash who is one of my favorite gospel singers.

Misty Fitch we seem to be on the same page... I really miss the old gospel singing in church like we used to do in four part harmony... and we sang 5-6 songs Sunday not just two. We have not found a church here who still sing like this. We went where we were led... even though the singing is missing in these parts... really miss the singing... sigh

I grew up in that type of church. It was typically 4-6 songs and usually one song was a special that we did as a choir. I miss that also.
